About

I am a semi-retired engineer who worked in the high-technology semiconductor industry for 27 years. I was employed by 2 American multinational companies, 2 years by Texas Instruments Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Ampang/Ulu Klang and then another 25 years by Intel Technology Sdn Bhd in Penang, Malaysia. I voluntarily separated in the middle of 2015 to pursue many things I wanted to do in life.

I was born in Johor Bahru, grew up in various parts of Johor, and have lived in Penang for about half of my life. I studied locally in Malaysia for all my degrees.  My post graduates degrees (MSc and Doctor of Engineering) were pursued part time while working full time and related to my specialized field of work – Operations Research / Decision Science.  I did discrete event simulation and mathematical optimization modeling for about half of my working life.

Since 2016, I do training and consulting to fill my time.  Click here if you want to know more…

However,  Covid-19 changed everything – almost no business activities since March 2020.  I also have too much free time due to Covid-19 movement controls and lockdowns.  Due to that, I have started an initiative to convert my audiophile hobby into product development.  The first product being developed is a music streamer, or can also be called digital audio transport.   You can also check my hi-fi experience sharing in my Blog posts.  Enjoy!
